1. John Longbottom

    John previously worked in the Business Support Unit at Lloyds Banking Group as part of a team dedicated to working with corporate customers under trading and financial pressure, with the aim to effect change within the business and to retain the customer within the Bank's normal service.

    In the past John has worked within the Bank's Commercial and Retail banking services and, in total, has served 25 years with the Bank.  John was also a Trustee of the Leeds Library, fulfilling the role of Treasurer, and previously a volunteer with DIAL Leeds (Disability, Information and Advice Line) providing financial management information to the Chief Officer and Auditor.

  2. Dave Procter

    Dave Procter joined the Together Housing Group Board in 2016 and became Chair in January 2017.

    He has worked in housing for over 49 years, retiring as Chief Executive of Pennine Housing in 2005.  Since then Dave has worked as an independent consultant with a wide range of housing and third sector organisations within governance, executive mentoring and organisational change.

    He is a Board Member at Impact Housing Association in Cumbria.

  4. Kevin Ruth

    Kevin is responsible for the operational side of the Group - our investment in maintaining the current housing stock and for developing new dwellings to help the Group grow and meet customer needs.  This includes Newground CIC and Newground Together, development and new business.

  5. Mark Dunford

    Mark has executive responsibility for Finance, Human Resources & Organisational Development, ICT and Business Intelligence. He is also a Director for a number of the Group’s joint venture companies.

  6. Gwynne Furlong

    Gwynne has over 40 years' experience as a qualified professional in business, primarily in the commercial property industry.  He has been a partner in professional practice and has been a director and MD of both private and publically listed companies.

    Gwynne is the Deputy Chairman of Lancashire Care NHS Foundation Trust.  Gwynne is a member of the Concert Living Limited Board (a subsidiary of Progress).

    Gwynne is a Trustee of the Chorley Inspire Youth Zone Project, and CEO of the Regain Sports Charity (a national charity which specialises in helping those who have become paralysed/tetraplegic through sporting accident).

  7. Malcolm Harrison

    Malcolm is a Chartered surveyor with over 40 years experience and has over 30 years experience at Board/Director level within major brewing and licensed retail companies, as well as an extensive background in commercial and retail property.  This has included responsibility for driving all aspects of major company acquisitions, investments and divestments, as well as leading key business critical projects in development and I.T.

    Malcolm is currently the Chair of Newground Together the groups charity and was a member of Groundwork Pennine Lancashire for over 10 years until it was merged into Together Housing.

    He is a Director, Trustee and Advisor for the Pub is the Hub since 2003 and is a Member of the National Steering Committee.

  8. Ian Pickup

    Ian is a graduate chartered accountant, whose career in auditing saw him work both in Yorkshire and Kenya. He then spent 7 years in the financial services industry at Swiss Bank Corporation and as head of Internal audit at Yorkshire Building Society, where he was also responsible for establishing an offshore captive insurance company, an offshore investment vehicle, a property subsidiary  and initiating the society’s involvement in syndicated lending to housing associations.

    He then established his own audit and consultancy practice providing services exclusively to the charity and not for profit sector with the support of 7 staff.  After 18 years in 2015 he merged his practice with Garbutt & Elliott, where he was a partner until his retirement from a full time role in April 2017.

    Ian is currently a trustee of St George’s Crypt in Leeds and a trustee and chair of the finance committee at BHT Early Education and Training in Bradford. He continues to provide consultancy services to the charity sector.

  9. John Cruise

    John joined the Commercial Committee in 2017. He has over 30years experience of residential development including working as; managing director, development director and sales & marketing director with organisations covering the Northeast, Yorkshire & Humberside and the North-midlands.He has also served as an independent non executive director with a number of housing associations both as a main board member and committee member

    John has an MBA, is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing and the Higher Education Academy. He teaches Marketing (part time) at Sheffield Business School at Sheffield Hallam University

    John brings to the committee experience in social housing,residential development, strategy, governance and marketing.
