Nigel Jones, Group Director of People at Together Housing Group said,

These awards are representative of the excellent equality, diversity and inclusive practices Pendleton Together have adopted by embedding FREDIE principles into every aspect of their work. I’m delighted that we have been recognised, we work hard to create an inclusive work environment and to be an employer that embeds and is committed to creating a more fair, diverse and inclusive workplace.

Pendleton Together believe that everyone needs a home where they can feel safe, secure and confident that they won’t be judged based on their background, race or any other characteristic. To ensure this the organisation promotes an inclusive culture both internally with its employees and externally with its residents. Working directly with residents helps shape Pendleton Togethers work within the community and by embedding FREDIE internally with colleagues and externally with residents and the wider community they can effectively promote an inclusive culture.

Solat Chaudhry, Chief Executive at the National Centre for Diversity said:

I send my warmest congratulations to Pendleton Together on successfully reaching number 79 in the Top 100 Most Inclusive Workplaces Index 2022. It’s been a challenging year and yet, it has not dented the excellent work that organisations and individuals do in promoting FREDIE best practice.  I am particularly proud that we celebrate excellent work across all sectors as these organisations are the future of the workplace in the UK.

Mr Chaudhry added,

We celebrate the exceptional work of people and organisations who have EDI running through their DNA. Let’s rejoice at this and build a better society.
