We often use assessment centres, as a way of comparing the performance of candidates for a role.
An assessment centre will usually take place at one of our offices, and is a combination of tasks and activities that test your suitability for a role. They give you the chance to demonstrate a wider range of skills than you would during a traditional face-to-face interview.
We will usually invite you to join us for half a day to a full day and will see you doing a range of activities such as:
- group discussions
- in-tray exercises
- presentations
- role play
- written or practical tests
- group work
- problem solving
- a short competency based interview.
Our top assessment centre tip is to be yourself and relax to let your personality be seen by the assessors. They’re more likely to see how you will fit with the team and warm to you.
