He is also a Director for a number of the Group’s joint venture companies.
Commercial Services
Mick Smith
Mick is responsible for compliance and controls across the Group’s commercial and procurement activities. This includes the Group’s community interest company Newground CIC which provides environmental consultancy services. Mick has responsibility for the delivery of our Social Value Strategy which aims to create better lives and opportunities in our communities, and includes a range of employment, community and environmental projects delivered through our Charity Newground Together.
Finance
Clare Pilkington
Clare is responsible for leading and managing an effective and responsive Finance service by maintaining strong financial management and effective financial controls. This ensures our financial assets are safeguarded at all times and used appropriately, economically, efficiently and effectively. Clare’s area of the organisation oversee rent accounting, payables and receivables, service charges, accountancy and tax matters.
Carbon Reduction
Patrick Berry
Patrick is responsible for Together Housing’s carbon reduction strategy and approach to energy management and investment. He is currently managing a carbon reduction investment programme of £120m with the long-term aim of making Together Housing a net zero business. Patrick is committed to innovation that makes investment in carbon reduction a means to reduce operational costs and develop new revenue streams whilst providing benefits for residents.

New Business
Tony Ward
Tony is responsible for securing housing development opportunities for Together Housing Group. The opportunities secured are located in areas of high demand for new homes, will be in accordance with our design and energy efficiency standards and are commercially viable. Our development pipeline will provide affordable homes for our customers across the North of England and achieve our strategic growth targets.
Treasury
Dave Johnson
Dave is responsible for the delivery of Together Housing Group’s Treasury Strategy. Dave’s area of the business ensures we have sufficient funds so the various Group companies can deliver their objectives and the Groups overall vision. This is achieved through the raising loans or bonds from banks and investors. His area is also responsible for monitoring loan covenant compliance, business planning, development finance and investment appraisals for new investment projects.
